Application For New Families
Dear Parent or Guardian,
You are embarking on the first step to becoming part of the Full Circle Montessori School’s community. Welcome! The Full Circle Team very much looks forward to getting to know you and your family. To get started, please submit the online application and application fee by November 15th by clicking on the ONLINE APPLICATION button below. To be admitted to any program, the child must be developmentally ready, as determined during the Child/Directress meeting that happens later in the application process. In addition, children must meet these specific requirements according to the program to which you are applying:
Young Children’s Community: Children must be walking independently.
Primary Level class (The Children’s House): Children must be at least two and one-half years old, able to use the restroom independently (or be well on their way to doing so :)).
Elementary Level class: Children must be six through twelve years old, completed the Primary cycle (or equivalent).
Unless an immediate or a mid-year opening is available, new applicants are usually informed of a potential spot for the following fall in December (or until spaces remain open). Special consideration may be given to siblings, to children of the FCMS Team, to students transferring from other Montessori schools, and to returning students. Once we have received your child’s application and the application fee, your child will be placed on our prospective student list. If an opening for your child becomes available, you will be contacted to schedule two get-togethers:
A Parent Meeting, Tour and Observation with the Director to gauge the child/family/school match.
A Child/Directress meeting to determine your child’s developmental readiness to enter the Young Children’s Community, Children’s House or the Elementary Community.
After the meetings you will be notified of acceptance either immediately or at the latest by mid-January. Families who have received an offer have five business days to make one of three choices:
Enroll effective the date of the opening.
Begin paying tuition for the spot on the day of the opening and defer enrollment.
Decline the offer.
If enrollment is offered, you will also be invited to schedule a parent only classroom observation. If you accept Full Circle’s enrollment offer, your child’s spot is guaranteed once you have signed the Enrollment Agreement and have paid the enrollment deposit and other applicable fees (see Full Circle Tuition and Fees below).
